Breast Augmentation is surgery to increase the size of the breasts, provide uplift, and correct any asymmetry.
A boob job or breast enlargement can lift and restore breasts that have sagged or shrunk following childbirth, enhance the cleavage of women who are unhappy with the size and shape of their breasts, reconstruct breasts following cancer surgery, and boost wellbeing and self-esteem.
Treatment cost starting from £6,000.

In 2021, breast augmentation emerged as the leading cosmetic procedure among women, as indicated by an audit conducted by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
Enhanced Appearance: Breast augmentation can increase breast size and improve their shape, helping individuals achieve the desired look.
Boosted Confidence: Many people experience increased self-esteem and confidence after breast augmentation, as it can enhance their body image.
Improved Symmetry: It can correct breast asymmetry, creating a more balanced and harmonious appearance.
Reconstruction: Breast augmentation is also used for breast reconstruction after mastectomy or injury.

Pain and Discomfort: Some pain and discomfort are common immediately after surgery.
Swelling and Bruising: Temporary swelling and bruising are typical but usually resolve within a few weeks.
Scarring: Although surgeons try to minimise scarring, breast augmentation does leave scars at the incision sites.
Infection: There is a small risk of infection, which may require antibiotic treatment.
Capsular Contracture: In some cases, scar tissue (capsules) can form around the implant, leading to firmness and distortion of the breast shape.
Implant Rupture or Leakage: Implants can rupture or leak over time, which may require replacement.
Changes in Sensation: Temporary or permanent changes in nipple and breast sensation can occur.

During a mastopexy-augmentation, an incision is made along the inframammary fold and vertically up to and around the nipple. Extra skin is removed from underneath the breast and the breast tissue is reshaped into a tighter cone. The nipples can be moved to a higher position, and the areola reshaped and reduced if required.
If you have experienced a loss of breast volume, implants can be placed above or below the muscle to produce a fuller shape and enhanced cleavage. Careful consideration of the implant size is essential to minimise breast droop in the future.
We may also combine this procedure with liposuction to remove excess fat from the armpit area and bra roll region.

It is advised that you have someone to look after you in the initial post-surgery period, as you will feel some discomfort. Most patients return to work in a week to two weeks, depending on your occupation, as we advise you to avoid heavy lifting or strenuous activity in the first six weeks after surgery. Similarly, you may return to light exercise after four weeks but prevent weight lifting or high-impact workouts for at least six weeks.
In terms of results, there will be some swelling, and it can take three months before this swelling fully subsides and for the breast implants to drop into their final position. Longevity varies from patient to patient, but if you maintain a stable weight, your results should be long-lasting.
